The final Zuri training project required creating a fictional digital product and producing several deliverables, starting with a research plan, and concluding with an optimized final product. My group, ‘team ninety-seven’ worked on an animation library for beginners.
For a web animation library targeted toward beginners with little or no code experience, I was part of a product design team and was tasked with producing a product research and design strategy. This product requirements document will help designers gain clarity; they can make design decisions that will allow the user experience to be intuitive and smooth.
For beginners experimenting with and trying to incorporate animation into their designs, it can be overwhelming to get the right no-code animation library that is beginner friendly and easy to navigate.
Beginners want a library that will take away the stress of difficult-to-understand UI and obsolete functionality, save, download, and embed in their code, and have an interactive interface that generates the right combination of code to use and show usage examples.
Zing is an animation library created for easy use by beginners with little or no knowledge of programming. The efforts of a team of developers and product designers have carefully crafted this library to use normal language to make the cognitive process even faster.
My process involved understanding what the project brief required. Then asking questions from designers and teammates to get their perspectives on what was required. Afterwards, I analyzed already existing web animation libraries to understand what industry standards are required. I kept asking questions to make sure I was still on track and understood what was required at each step of the design process.

This project is beginner centered. Although many web animation libraries are available, very few are beginner friendly.
